Tu Face, Lagos police
meet over threat to life
Olalekan Olabulo, Lagos - 06.02.2008
International
award winning hip
hop star, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tu Face Idibia, on Tuesday met with authorities of the Lagos State police command to find a lasting solution to the series of attacks on his life
Idibia reported at the Ikeja Oduduwa office of the Public Relations department of the command from where he was taken to the office of the Commissiner of Police
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the meeting would not only serve as an avenue to prevent further attacks on Idibia, but would also give the police in the state clues that might help them in investigating some of the attacks on the musician.
Idibia had, in recent times, been a subject of attacks as he was, a few days ago, robbed at gun point and had his car snatched in Anthony area of the state
He was also reportedly attacked at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) centre by some gunmen who were believed to have trailed the Benue Stae-born singer for long
Tu Face, while speaking with the Nigerian Tribune on Tuesday morning, confirmed the robbery attack, but declined further comments.
“Yes, I was robbed and my car was snatched around Anthony, but I don’t want to say anything on the incident again because it makes me sad,” he said.
