Rivers PDP scribe’s son abducted, N60 million ransom demanded

Four gunmen on Friday night abducted
the 16 year-old son of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretary in Rivers State, Chief Oris Onyiri, demanding N60 million as ransom.
Sunday Tribune gathered that the teenager, whose name was given as Ogochukwu Onyiri, was abducted on his was back home in Ogbogu, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
According to a source, the hoodlums had contacted the mother of the abducted boy almost immediately, making a demand of N60 million as ransom.
“The girl, who was accompanying the abducted boy, explained that while they were heading home, a blue 504 Peugeot car without headlights drove pass them and parked.
“Before the duo could know what was happening, four gunmen had alighted and dragged him into the waiting car, while he was still crying out for help. W hen people from the neighbourhood raised the alarm and tried to stop the boy from being taken away, the kidnappers started shooting sporadically to scare them away”, the source added.
