AUSTIN ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha has decided to snub the chance of one last crack of playing in the English Premier League by telling the management of his Championship side, Hull City that it is over with football to becomes a builder.
The former Nigeria World Cup star was a major instrument in Hull’s challenge for automatic promotion to the Premier League this season, but the 34-year-old has made up his mind to retire, even if the Tigers, who meet Watford n the play-off on May 24, reach the top flight.
Earlier in the season, the former PSG playmaker had told the Hull management that this season was his last with football.
The former Bolton star has the option of a new 12-month contract and City manager, Phil Brown, is desperate for him to continue playing with the Tigers.
Okocha, who was a member of the Super Eagles1994 Nations Cup-winning team, plans to set up his own construction company in Nigeria.
