Idowu Samuel, Abuja - 05.03.2008

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)has said it was not rattled by the resolve by some of its members to halt the party's National Convention with a court litigation, affirming that the Convention would hold as sheduled on Saturday.

The party said every step it took so far on the convention was in order and in line with the requirement of it constitution, stating that none of its members had any reason to complain and go to court to stop the convention.

The PDP's position on the litigation against th National Convention was made known last night by the Acting National Publicity Secretary, Honourable Bayo Alao.

He said contrary to the claims by the agrieved members of the PDP who went to court, the planning for the National Convention and constitution of Committees were approved by the National Excecutive Committee (NEC) of the party.

Alao said those who went to court should have sought proper clarification from the National Headquarters of the party as according to him,all isses about the convention were properly documented.
