Farah Addo laments FIFA ban

SUSPENDED Somalia frontline football administrator, Farah Addo has changed his stand five years after his ban by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).

Addo banned for 10 years after a remark that Sepp Blatter was running the world soccer-governing body without transparency, however, said he never regretted his comment.

“Anybody could make a mistake and so, I regret my suspension. I’m ready to apologise to FIFA over my suspension. In the last five years, I have missed a lot about the game.

“I didn’t regret making such remarks but I have to change after the whole thing. You can’t remain in a position for five years. As for survival, I have business outside Somalia as well to make ends meet,” Addo told BBC sport in Ghana after a match in the ongoing Nations Cup.

The former executive member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is serving a 10-year ban from all FIFA- organised football activities.
