THE lingering
leadership crisis
rocking the Oyo state chapter of the Action Congress, AC may have ended with former Governor Rasheed Ladoja now ready to work together with his predecessor, Alhaji Lam Adesina.
Prior to this development, the party had been polarised along Lam Adesina and Ladoja’s divides.
The meeting meant to settle scores among leaders of the party, was presided over by Goddy Nkechi, the national organising secretary of the party, who led three other officials namely Femi Kehinde, Bosun Oladimeji and Prof. Adekanye.
Sources at the meeting held on Thursday at a hotel inside old Bodija Estate, had representatives of the two leaders in attendance and it was at the instance of the national body of the party.
Those in attendance were the state secretary, Hon. Dele Akinleye, Chief Lasun Odebunmi and Dokun Laoye, who stood for the Lam group, while a former SSG in Ladoja’s administration, Barrister Sarafadeen Ali, led the Ladoja group.
Others who attended for Ladoja group were the former factional state chairman of the PDP who later served as a commissioner in Ladoja’s regime, Chief Adetoro, Mr. Okegbola.
