NSCIA to partner NACA on HIV/AIDS

Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) is set to partner with National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) in a bid to reduce the scourge of HIV/AIDS among the Muslim brothers in the country.

Towards this, Nigeria Council for Islamic Affairs organised a stakeholders meeting on the development of Islamic HIV/AIDS policy in Kaduna at the weekend. Speaking at the meeting, the Sultan of Sokoto and the President General of NSCIA , Alhaji Mohammad Sa’ad Abubakar, informed that the Supreme council would support every effort to eradicate HIV/AIDS most especially in Islamic way.

The Sultan, who was represented by the Emir of Zauzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, stated that the policy when it finally put to work would help to eradicate the stigma with the people living with AIDS and protect the Muslim brothers.
