Two Norwegian
teams are expected
to storm Nigeria for the forthcoming Ramat Cup International Football tournament scheduled for the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano between February13 and 20.
Ben Ekpo, Public Relations Officer of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) informed Tribunesports that the Norwegian teams, Holmlia Under-16 (boys) and Kolstad U-17 (girls) will join other 18 Nigerian teams for the round- robin tourney expected to be declared open by the Kano State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau.
Speaking further, Ekpo hinted that the winner of the Ramat Cup International football tournament would participate in the annual Norway Cup later in the year. According to him, the tournament would be sponsored by the Kano State government as a mark of honour for the late General Murtala Ramat Muhammed who was assassinated on February 13, 1976.
