FG to register unemployed youths

The actual number of the unemployed in the country would soon be made known as the Federal Government has concluded arrangements to start their registration in all the states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The Minister of Youth Development, Senator Akinlabi Olasunkanmi, who made this known while receiving the country representative of the United Nations Fund for Population Acttvities (UNFPA) in Abuja, Mr Sidiki Coulibally, noted that the database would assist government in its efforts to address the problem of unemployment.
He said; “My ministry is currently trying to develop a data base for the youth whereby we will know precisely the population of unemployed youths’’.
