Obesere, Osupa, Taiye Currency, others for MTN Fuji fest

ObesereLeading telecommunication company, MTN Nigeria has concluded plans to
sponsor the maiden edition of Fuji Festival tagged, Fujifest. The festival is a
musical concert featuring top fuji musicians in the country.
The festival, according to Mr. Semiu Adenekan, popularly known as DJ Semite,is a brain work of Melody & Events and Entertainment and it is being sponsored by MTN.
"Three towns, Akure, Osogbo and Ibadan are the first beneficiaries of this concert, which will be featuring top fuji acts like Kollington Ayinla, Abass Akande Obesere, Saheed Osupa, Taiye Currency, Sule Adio Atawewe and Remi Aluko. The festival aims at providing good fuji music to lovers of the genres in the mentioned cities, while funseekers will also win recharge cards for coming," said DJ Semite.
The train of the festival will start from Akure township Stadium on Sunday, July 5 from 12 noon.
The train then moves to Osogbo township Stadium on 12 July and Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on 26 July respectively.
The MTN Fujifest is the first major fuji festival involving leading fuji musicians in the country.
The sponsorship of the festival is being supported by Star lager beer, a beer brand in the stables of Nigerian Breweries Plc.

Bull range of dry gins have provided a very good platform for young and upcoming Fuji acts to showcase their talents via the Bull Fuji Music Talent Hunt.
Tailored towards discovering new Fuji stars, the programme has, however, received the blessings of K1 de Ultimate, a leading figure in the genre who has promised to support whoever emerges winner of the contest.
N500,000 worth of recording deal, N200,000 cash and a Yamaha brand of Keyboard player is at stake for the eventual winner while the second and third winners will go home with N150,000, N100,000 and a Keyboard player.
The programme which opens to the public Ibadan at KS Motel, Ibadan on Friday, 17 July, moves to Ogbomoso Town Hall, Friday 24 July and Osogbo City Hall, Friday, 31 July.
Venue of the auditioning in other cities include June 12 Cultural Center, Abeokuta, Friday August 7, Gateway International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Friday, 14 August and Cultural Center, Akure, Friday, August 21 respectively.
The event is an initiative of Lanre Alabi, the CEO of Kingsize Entertainments, Ibadan.
