HID Awolowo charges Alao-Akala at 59

MATRIARCH of the Awolowo dynasty, Chief (Mrs.) H.I.D. Awolowo, has charged the Oyo State governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, to offer unto God, sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, as he clocks 59 years.

Chief H.I.D Awolowo, in a congratulatory letter to the governor, signed on her behalf, by the Publisher and Deputy Chairman of African Newspapers of Nigeria (ANN) Plc, publishers of Tribune titles, Evangelist (Dr.) Oluwole Awolowo, said that Chief Alao-Akala had every reason to thank God on his birthday.

She reminded the governor of God’s goodness and mercies to him, adding that “how can you forget the benefits of the Almighty God as you celebrate another birthday, through His grace?”

Chief Awolowo also gave reasons why Alao-Akala must praise and thank God for saving him from “humiliation, frustration, failure, sickness and death.

“As the writer of that popular hymn has said, I want to charge you, Your Excellency, that, this is the time for you to count your numerous blessings in order to come to full realisation of what the good Lord has done for you,” she said, wishing the governor many happy returns in good health and prosperity.
