Portsmouth Run Not Surprising - Utaka

John Chukwu Utaka has issued an emphatic declaration that there is nothing surprising about the giant strides pulled off by Portsmouth this season, though they have dropped unexpected points in the outgoing term.

Utaka noted that Pompey had shown some inconsistencies so far, but acknowledged that many critics had written them off before the campaign began at all.

On hindsight, he was not surprised at the battling efforts of his teammates, the attacker said. “I hear people say I must be surprised at what has happened for Portsmouth so far this season, a high Premier League position and now the FA Cup final.

“I am not surprised. If you look at the players in the squad then it should surprise no one what has been achieved so far,” Utaka said.
