Odubade Gets Oxford Extension

English Conference League star, Yemi Odubade, is set to stay on much longer at Oxford United, despite previous talk about a summer exit.

However, after striking goals in each of the club’s last two matches, Odubade has become apple of the eye at Oxford, and the club is now almost desperate to hold him beyond the outgoing season.

Exciting news out of Queensland has it that Odubade has been rewarded for finishing the season as his side's top scorer by being taken off the transfer list.

The 23-year-old Odubade was told he could leave in February after a poor run of form, although he is 12 months into a two-year contract at Kassam Stadium, but ended up with 11 goals.

Confirmation of Odubade’s extended stay came from The U's boss, Darren Patterson, who says the striker deserves what is coming his way.

"Yemi deserves his chance and we will work together to get the best of him next season,” the coach said.
