I Was Not Arrested - Ogun NURTW Boss

CHAIRMAN, Ogun State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa, has said that contrary to newspaper reports, he is not under arrest.

Alhaji Baruwa who spoke with Saturday Tribune on Thursday evening said the report was not true and that nobody should link him with any violence, especially the one recorded at some motor parks in Abeokuta recently.

The NURTW boss said he was just settling down to business having just been released from detention over the death of Alhaji Saka Saula, the late chairman of Lagos chapter of the NURTW.

“It is rather unfortunate that with all I have just passed through, some people could still be wishing me such a thing (an arrest). It is too bad, but as a leader I must accept my fate. But the truth of the matter is that I was not for a single minute arrested,” he said.
