Tsav cautions critics of OBJ

Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, has warned Nigerians of the danger in rejoicing over other peoples misfortunes, just as he expressed his disgust over people crucifying Obasanjo for an unproven allegation.

Tsav, who suggested that there is need for a psychiatrist test to examine the state of mind of the son of OBJ, Dr . Gbenga Obasanjo, also did not rule out the possibility that the former president’s son is fighting other peoples’ war.

The former commissioner noted that, though the sex scandal against OBJ, as alleged by his son in an affidavit before the court, has not been proven,it has placed a serious moral burden on the former president.

He decried the manner in which OBJ is being condemned, arguing that those who are crucifying him have failed to examine the issues critically.

While others argued that since OBJ and Gbenga’s wife, Moji, have not denied the allegation, it means guilt on their part. “It is improper for the former president and elder statesman, to confront his son on the pages of newspapers,” he said.

Tsav, who maintained that it was strange for a son to accuse his father of such a grevious allegation, appealed to elders in the country to wade into the matter and profer solutions, rather than politicking with something that bothers on moral question.

He noted that ‘ this is a matter for responsible elders in this country to wade into and profer solution, ‘It is strange for a son to confront his father in this country,” he maintained.
