Senator Adeyemi hails ruling on Kogi

THE Senator representing Kogi West
Senatorial district in the upper legislative chamber, Senator Smart Adeyemi, has hailed the ruling of the Court of Appeal on the petition challenging the election of Kogi state acting governor, Hon. Clarence Olafemi into the State House of Assembly.
Senator Adeyemi, who spoke in a telephone interview from the United States where he is attending a Seminar of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on appropriation process, said that the judiciary has vindicated the people of Kogi West.
He stated that the people of Kogi had expected the ruling to go the way of the acting governor, adding that the people were not disappointed.
“We had expected nothing other than the way the ruling went. The judiciary has once again proved that it is the opium of the masses, the hope of the downtrodden and the masses of this country.
“We are happy and the Okun people of people Kogi West are very pleased that the judiciary has done us proud. “The ruling is highly welcomed among our people and I am sure
that they are happy with the conduct of we their representatives,” he said.
