Mark will emerge victorious - Senator Adedibu
Dapo Falade, Ado Ekiti - 02.03.2008
DESPITE the nullifi-cation of his election by the election petitions tribunal, an assurance has been given that the embattled Senate President, Chief David Mark, will emerge victorious from his present travails and make a successful return to the National Assembly.
Giving the assurance in a telephone interview with Sunday Tribune last Friday, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry, Senator Kamorudeen Adedibu, said that given the level of goodwill and support being enjoyed by Mark, he would enjoy an easy passage into the Assembly when and if another election was eventually conducted.
Stating that the ongoing petitions at the various election petition tribunals across the country would strengthen the democratic process, he described the ruling of the Court of Appeal on last April presidential election as a good omen for national development and a confirmation of the determination of the judiciary to foster an enduring democracy.
