Six Die, 14 Injured In Auto Crash

Six persons died and
14 others were
injured on Friday in a ghastly road accident near A. Y. filling station, along Gwagwalada-Giri road in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The accident involved an 18-seater bus and a private car.
An eyewitness, Mr Simon Auta, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the accident was the result of a collision between the two vehicles travelling at high speed.
“The private car and the bus were over-taking a truck when the accident occurred,’’ he said.
The six corpses were deposited at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital’s mortuary, while the 14 injured persons were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Confirming the accident, the FCT Zonal Commander of the FRSC, Jonas Agu, said: “It is true there was a fatal accident, but I am yet to get the details.’’
