4-yr-old wins Oyo lottery draw

Ogundeji has won the maiden draw of the Oyo State lottery scheme, winning a cash of N250,000.
Ticket number 0331519 of Aanuoluwapo, from Ogbomosho South Local Government Area of the State, won the draw, which was picked by the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning, Mr. Toyin Adeleye, and ace artiste, Muyiwa Ademola.
The draw, which took place at the premises of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), also saw Mr. Rokeeb Oyebola from Iseyin Local Government Area with ticket number 0336896 winning the second prize and Mrs. Mulikat Obisesan with ticket number 0435642 winning a generator.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Adeleye, said the lottery scheme was designed to put smile on the faces of the people.
He stated that it was part of the public/private initiative employed by the Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala’s administration to alleviate poverty, urging the people to embrace the programme.
“The lottery scheme is for real. We have all seen how a four-year-old girl won the star prize of N250,000,” he added.
