THE Kebbi State gov-
ernor, Alhaji Saidu
Dakingari, has dismissed the rumour that he was hell bent to remaining in office in 2011, saying, “I do not know if I will be alive till then, so only the Allah knows tomorrow.”
Dakingari, in an interview with the Nigerian Tribune in Birnin Kebbi, said he had nothing to do with 2011 saga, as he could not tell if God would spare his life till 2011.
Despite his positive transformation of the state, during his administration as the governor of the state, Alhaji Dakingari said, he was elected to serve the state and whatever he had done to move the state forward was not a pride to him but to the entire state, adding that if that would make the people to re-elect him, he was not against it.
Dakingari said, if the people had the belief in what he was doing and they decided to re-elect him, it was not a big deal to him. All that he wanted was to set a record of putting things right for the state.
He recalled that he had prayed to God during his campaign that if he would not create positive impact on the state, God should not allow him to win.
