Reps impose N1.2m fine on Total Plc

THE House of Representatives, on Tuesday, asked Total Nigeria Plc to pay a fine of N1.2 million resulting from the cost on logistics incurred by the House Committee on Public Procurement and TILONE Nigeria Ltd.

Part of the cost were incurred due to attempts to invite Total and its refusal to honour such invitation concerning probe of Akpo oil Field Development Project (FDP) contract awarded to a foreign firm against the initial bid winner.
