ZAIN Nigeria says it is building a 25 million dollars state-of- the-art Customer Care Centre in Abuja.

The Chief Operating Officer of the company, Khaled Khorshid, told a news conference on Tuesday, in Lagos, that the company would be employing 2,000 young graduates to work in the centre before the end of this year.

He said that about 400,000 calls were received daily at Zain’s customer centre and that there was need to recruit more staff to handle the calls.

He said that the 2,000 persons to be employed would be under the supervision of the company’s partners with competence in recruitment and manpower develo-pment.

According to him, the young graduates to be employed would be trained by Zain’s partners, adding that they would enjoy the same conditions of service available in Zain.

He said that over the last six months, Zain had been doing a lot to ensure a ‘’wonderful world’’ for its subscribers.

Mr. Khorshid said that during this period, the company completed its 4,000 kilometre fibre optic backbone which cost about 200 million dollars.

He disclosed that since Zain came to Nigeria, three years ago, it had invested about $3 billion in the country and would continue to invest more for the satisfaction of its customers.

Mr. Khorshid assured that the company was committed to providing best quality service and would repair any damaged cable of the network within four hours.
