Wenger: Gunners ‘ll
be back stronger
next season
01.05.2008
AFTER watching his side rout a hapless Derby County 6-2 on Monday,Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, declared that the Gunners were ready for success nest term.
Wenger expressed regret at the failure of his charges to pick up tangible success this season.
The Champions League and Premier League dream died in the space of 10 days for the Gunners and it has given Wenger, unhappily, his third trophyless campaign.
However, the Frenchman is optimistic that his side has all the requisite parts to put together a winning combination and a little luck will see it through next term.
Wenger told the BBC: “This team has a great future, I believe we were really unlucky not to win something this year.
“It is always a problem not to win trophies but I love this team, love the way they behave and the way they play.
“This was a typical Arsenal display, we were always dangerous and were good technically. They all impress.”
