Eaglets star, Yakubu Alfa delays move to Swedish club

A member of the Golden Eaglets’ Korea 2007 winning squad, Yakubu Alfa who recently signed for Swedish club, Helsinborg FC will have to wait till December before he joins his new club.

His elder brother, Usman Alfa Ziger stated this in a telephone chat with Tribunesports.

Ziger said Yakubu signed a four- year contract with Helsinborg but will not join the team until December when he turns 18.

"Yakubu has signed a four- year contract but the arrangement is that, he will still remain with Niger Tornadoes before he leaves for Sweden. He will not play for the Swedish side until December when he is expected to join the team fully.

"It is because of work permit and you know he is under 18. He can only sign a full professional contract when he is 18, which he will do in December Insha Allah (God willing)," Ziger said.
