Mourinho tips Ronaldo for Ballon d’Or

CRISTIANO Ronaldo will be named world player of the year if Manchester United win a title this season, according to Jose Mourinho.

“The Special One” appears to be a huge admirer of his fellow countryman and he has tipped him to succeed Ballon d’Or, Milan star Kaka.

But Mourinho says that Ronaldo needs to win a major title if he wants to be hailed as the best.

“Football is a collective sport but for me there is no doubt Ronaldo is a decisive player and has developed pretty well,” Mourinho told ABC.

“He scores for his team and brings quality football. “He deserves to be considered for the Ballon d’Or, but we have to wait.

“If Manchester United win an important title in the English league or in the Champions League, no doubts the guy will deserve it.”
